Biography

Eva Divari was born in Athens where she lives and works. She graduated from Doxiadis institute with professors P. Zoumpoulakis, D. Mitaras, T. Katsoulidis, P. Gravalos, G. Parmakelis and G. Georgiadis. Many of her works are being hosted by the National Museum of Greece, the National Gallery, public and private collections in Greece and abroad.

The painter has participated in 22 solo and many group exhibitions. The paintings of Eva Divari are inspired from the world of the sea, having travelled periodically on tankers for 10yrs around the world and thus enabling her to enrich her knowledge and experience about these vessels. She exhibited her paintings at ports throughout Europe, United States and Africa. In Greece, she started displaying her work since 1994.

Power of the sea, memories and calm voyages starting and ending at a port. Eva Divari’s “Craze for Grandeur” creates the atmosphere in her paintings, where colour takes power and her advanced technique presents calmness and balance in the scenery.
