Biography

Dendrinos was born and raised in Zaire in 1978; He now lives and works in Athens. Dendrinos studied Automation Engineering and Restoration in Athens. Influenced by the African art, his sculptures contain the sense of pure innocence that leads us back to childhood. He has participated in five solo exhibitions.

Dendrinos's prime material is metal and cars’ spare parts. A rod of a bus engine is transformed into a human being, a ball-bearing becomes a car’s wheel and each sculpture reminds one of a game. His figurative themes promote human values such as maternity, mankind, evolution, and its fragile nature. The fusion of a modern material in combination with his kinetic photographs reveals aspects of today’s man’s fast speed life.
