Monday July 26th at 19:30 Tenedos Gallery, in the Old Town of Corfu, will be opening its doors for the painting exhibition of Elena Chirdaris and Irini Penna, titled “Maelstrom of Passions”. The exhibition presents a fresh artistic proposal of the Corfiot painters and is takes place in collaboration with Enigma Gallery Athens, in Kifisia.

The artists have selected small and medium size work, different themes, techniques and materials, in order to make the spectator travel in two different worlds. Penna uses Indian ink and gouache on paper giving transparency and serenity to her work. Contrary to Chirdaris that dash with intense and rich oil colors on canvas, yet portray certain calmness about them. However, they have as common element the expression of movement, that certain times take the form of a wave and others of the probable that fills us with feelings.
